I think it's totally acceptable to charge any amount of money... if someone wants to pay for it, then it's hardly "messed up".
It's pretty messed up that people feel the need to play "Judge Judy" - even in a forum such as this. But that's the problem with the internet, it's anonymizing aspect leads people to say things that they would never say "face to face".
Having said that, there are still a large number of social losers out there that will battle on regardless.
