Good Evening People. I'd like to start by saying on my day off it was a diaper day for me. Just all morning and all day in diapers. But this wasn't any normal diaper day. Like I have done a lot of, but only really posted on a few websites, I like to travel to thrift stores and drugstores and pharmacies to look for the best diapers. Most AB's and DL's can't always afford the best diapers, so I look for the cheapest, or the best priced. Which can be hard and frustrating at times, but also fun. So with that little introduction, I will explain my day.
So, this morning, the first thing I did was drive to walmart. I had to decide with one, because there are 3 near me, but I didn't want to double back and waste time and gas. So, I drove to my walmart which is close to me. It may not be the cleanest or the nicest, but it's close. So, I drove there to pick up some diapers. Of course, they haven't had any depends in a long time. The old style depends, which aren't cloth backed. Those cost about 15 dollars now, maybe a little cheaper or a little more expensive, depending on where you live. I ended up picking up a plastic sheet for my bed, because the last one I got, I tore to shreds while I was sleeping. I also picked up some wipes and some orange juice, because I was long on that and needed some in my house.
Well, that was a bust and that was stop number one. Number two was a salvation army store, well that wasn't a bust, but having to wait in the parking lot for 15 minutes, did seem like the longest 15 minutes of my life. I went in with the hope I would find some used diapers or sleepers, but I didn't. I did however find a diaper bag, for 3 bucks. I was looking for a new diaper bag to replace my old one, and this one wasn't so bad. So, that was buy one.
After that, my breakfast from McDonalds was ready to evacuate my bowels, and so it did. Well, at first I liked it, but I realized I couldn't stay for long in that little mess. I would have to change.
I went to a Rite-Aid, to see what they had in the way of diapers, and of course there wasn't much of anything, I picked up the last pack of Rite-Aid brand diapers and headed to the check out, being a little hesitant I shuffled my way up there and of course there was a line, so I looked at a few magazines. I don't know what it is, but every time I go to get diapers, there is always a line. I am always afraid I will run into someone I know, but luckily I haven't yet. Anyways, after waiting in line with a cashier who didn't know what to do, and a customer who didn't speak very good English. I was kind of upset, and wanted to leave, but these were the only diapers I could find and I felt this was all I was going to get today
So, I went to a medical supply store down the street and of course I had to wait again for the owner. I went in there, and I wasn't really impressed with what I saw. Plus, the guy seemed me. He also had a dog he brought to work, but that's a mute point.
So, then I was off to the next salvation army store, and once again. I found nothing. I checked the local Wal-greens brand diapers and some changing pads. and headed out. Okay, well now I have to go change because I can kind of a feel a little itch or rash starting. So, I was off to find a place to change, and I was going to change in my car, but realized to many people and I could go to jail for indecent exposer. Not sure if those are the correct terms, but I know I couldn't do that. So I headed to a place called Savers
Yes, Savers, is a great store to find diaper related store. I have many sleepers from them. I used find all kinds of stuff, but lately nothing. So, I went there and grabbed a few disposables to double up, and wipes to clean up and headed to the store bathroom. Nobody said anything or cared. After I cleaned up, I looked around the store. I couldn't find anything, but a Sega Genesis controller, that I needed. I only had one, but I always like to have two, in case a friend wants to play. Well, I left there was a sad face, and nothing to gain. I headed home and cleaned up to be in normal clothes and did some errands for my job, which I had to quit, because I have a better paying job, but not sure it's what I want to do. So, after that I had to kill some time. I headed to another salvation army store, and of course what a big let down. Nothing
So, let me just explain what I have gotten so far. Walgreens and Rite-Aid disposable diapers, wipes and a plastic sheet. Along with a diaper bag. I know a lot of people think that's a lot, but really it's not. For me, I excel at getting this related to Ab and Dlism, but this time, nothing. I guess less people are donating diapers and such these days with the horrible economy.
So, I headed for one more salvation army store and looked around and nothing, again. Not even a sleeper. I'm beginning to think I should just buy shirts and try to make them into sleepers. NAH!!! that's not me. I wouldn't take the time to do all that sewing. I think I'll just stick to what I know.
Well, I was getting frustrated. I didn't find anything I really wanted today. So, I looked on my iPhone for medical supply stores in the area, and luckily, there was one I had never heard of and it was close. So, I googled mapped it. I found it and I was like, WOW! pay dirt! This place looks promising. So, I get there and they have a several shelves of diapers, but nothing I really want, until I see some attends.
I'm like Attends. Those were my first diapers I ever wore except my first diaper, which was a no no-name brand, which I will never know till this day. But I was so excited. I found attends at a medical supply store which wasn't too far and I could afford them. they were 15 bucks, which isn't bad. I think, but there is a sad ending to this story. They were not the right size for me. I also bought them just to see if I could fit into mediums, but I know I'm really a large. So, I went up to the clerk and she was very happy to help me. She didn't know anything about diapers or brands, but I helped her and told her. She was very happy. She was sad that she couldn't give me what I wanted, but she said she was going to order some and they would be in tomorrow. So, maybe not such a bad ending. I ended up feeling very good that I found this place and I think I will keep buying from them until they run our, or I move.
All in all, I guess it was successful, but I really wish I had an AB and DL buddy with me. I even thought about bringing my non-Ab friend, but I realized that would be weird, and I don't really want to bring him into my world. My current girlfriend and I have had problems and still working them. But she is not into it and thinks it's weird. I don't think she will ever like it or indulge in it or with me. But as long as a I have my friends and online friends, I know what is right, and will push forward in life. If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to comment.
