Hi Six gun, i sympathise utterly, if it means anything i can't really give you some serious advice, but know that i have been in a similar situation.
Essentially, it comes down to open mindedness and if they are open enough to this sort of fetish, not in that they might not enjoy it, but rather if its a hard limit for them that they do for you. If this is the case (in my experiance) this can go rather foul.
In my situation, I after being alone for quite some time (I wont go until my personal details but i'm quite a well known film actor) and I met a woman who i fell madly in love for, unfortunately due to this and some other factors it wasnt mean't to be. Its quite Bizarre as my ex herself modelled for some Diaper Lover modeling websites herself, so i thought all was well, this wasn't the case.
Over time, like yourself she became repulsed by the idea even though she was apparently open minded and involved on the fetish lifestyle choice, and also did pornography, and so fourth.
Its difficult, but i suppose in these situations, its best to sit down and talk about it, i know it hurts and it probably will hurt to see your wife's reactions, and it too brought great harm and agony to my heart to hear someone that you love, say the words more of less "I'm repulsed by this" because all you realistically want, is for the person that you love to understand.
For myself personally, it didn't work, I just want you to know that you have my deepest sympathy, and hope some resolution may come to your aggrieved and painfull situation.
In conclusion of it all, its hugely upsetting isn't it, when you feel like you get a long in every other way, care about someone so much, but one thing just seems to get in the way.
