Between the constant pictures of males' penises, lorries, buses, cars, poor quality tranny pasties, poor quality diaper close ups, pages of used baby diapers, countless pictures of the same person in the same pose, blatant advertising, pictures of people blatantly not anything to do with the ABDL community and reposts of 'known' community faces on fake profiles there WERE some original, creative, hot pictures of males, females and couples on the site. For those, I am very grateful the site did exist.
Unfortunately, the way the social networking software worked (or rather did not) meant trolling through all the crap to find anything good. This in turn put stupid loads on the server and regular periods of unavailability were inevitable. The image gallery had no meaningful way of sorting images and absolutely no moderation. The software was poor quality and the server it ran on inadequate. There did seem to be a lot of weirdos on there as well...
Sadly resources online are rare or at least seem to be very specific thus scaring away the average 'normal' person who has an interest. I think you need a platform that is a good balance of people (males, females, couples, sissies, trans, hetro, homo) with a good mix of content - text, forums, pictures, videos etc. The platform needs to be stable against high demand and hackers (the community has few friends outside of itself) and well maintained and moderated. Moderation has got to be balanced though, too many sites have been ruined by those with personal/commercial biases or borderline Nazi tendencies...
-ABKingdom - good example of the above but French.
-Wetset - really just forums, no profiles, relatively small amount of new content coming in these days, based on a commercial interest - seems a bit old hat these days. Forums regularly attacked by idiots as well.
-ADisc - text based primarily - pink could be a bit of a turn off as well - seems to come at ABDLism as more of a support angle, nice community feel though
-DPRTube - Video site
-SissyKiss - Very genre specific, i.e. sissies
-ABY (when it was around) - poor software, seemed mainly to cater for the gay male community. It's rival whose name escapes me seems to be of a similar ilk.
-Nikki's new site; has potential although seems to be again quite specific - wetters/little girls etc. The video chat is very good though if not a little 'clicky'.
-DailyDiapers - clear commercial interests but a good site, not as integrated as it could be though.
-ILD (if it's still about) - bit old hat, commercial interests
I'm half tempted to start an ABDL review site now...
