Funny, here's my take on cloth diapers:
#1: They are cooooool.
#2: They smell awesome when wet.
#3: Cloth diapers are so absorbent you will only have to change when you are about to get a rash, not when they are about to leak. Be sure to drink enough water! Aren't you managing the pH of your urine for your health anyway?
How much water should you drink? The answer is the same for cloth and disposables: Enough that your diapers don't give you a rash.
#4: I usually hang mine to dry. I use them at least three times before laundering is necessary, more if you rinse. Of course, I would stink if I didn't use powder.
Actually, I might just stink anyway. Here's hoping my life-mate smells me! My advice? Disregard vapors, acquire social currency. It has worked for me a couple times. Er, currently single...
