Nothing can beat the absorbency of cloth. The trick is, as much as your disposable will swell, your cloth diaper must be at least that large to begin with in order to absorb the same amount.
The cool part about cloth is that you can adjust the absorbency throughout a virtually infinite range, simply by adding or removing layers.
That, and the fact that you don't have to worry about sleeping on your side. :)
