My basic trick in hiding my AB stuff is to make it look like something completely innocuous and BORING, in a place you'd never look for it. Locks where they are not usually found just provoke curiosity. Inconvenience of access helps, too. Finally, when you happen upon my sex stuff, it's always in an opaque container of some sort.

In storage, my AB stuff is labeled something fairly innocuous and boring: "Laundry". I've used whatever other containers are used for that storage: plain, unlabeled boxes; one of those rubbermaid tubs(really nice); popcorn tins; an old, waterproof ammo box; an opaque cloth or plastic sack. It's never by itself; it's always with other protective junk which is often disused.

If you have a false ceiling, the uses of that were demonstrated in the movie "officer and a gentleman". Unfinished attics you get to by ladder work too. Cavities under drawers in furniture work particularly well, but aren't always available. Rented storage spaces are cheap, but the frequent access required won't fly with the management. Most apartment buildings have storage areas; put your rubbermaid tub down there along with the other stuff that wouldn't fit.

Good places, assuming you are an apartment dweller:
In the trunk/boot of your car, under the old blanket you carry "just in case" the car breaks down and it's cold.
In your storage area in your apartment complex in a rubbermaid tub. The tub keeps out the critters, the mold, and the moisture.
In the bottom of the closet, in the rubbermaid tub with some worn-out clothes on top inside the tub, with all your dirty clothes on top.
In the cabinet under the sink, in the bathroom behind the toilet cleaner and the shower spray or in the kitchen in a garbage sack that looks like you just squirrelled some garbage there. Possibly have other dry garbage there too, such as a largish box.
Under the middle of the bed against the wall, with your shoes under the edge of your bed.
In the cavity under your sofa. A little inconvenient, but pretty secure.
In the rubbermaid tub or other box that supports the TV or the crate that forms the home-made table.

Don't forget to get the used ones out of the house/apt quickly, the unique smell will give them away.

Good luck and enjoy
