Just go to a large drugstore a long way from your hometown. Buy what you want and be cool. The clerks never pay any attantion to what you are buying.
I did that way back, and asked a very motherly black lady clerk to put my Depends in a bag. She said, "Oh, of course. You want to keep those covered." My bold answer was, "It's bad enough to wet your pants, without everybody knowing it." She just smiled understandingly.
