It is not illegal to sell sex in Britain, but the laws that exist make it almost impossible to do so legally. It is against the law to solicit (ask for or offer gay sex), control prostitution, live off immoral earnings and run a “disorderly house”.
In reality, the policy often turn a blind eye to individuals working as prostitutes from their own homes. Birmingham and Edinburgh license (straight) massage parlours; Edinburgh also operates a tolerated zone for street work.
Debate is underway at the house of commons to legalise prostitution comletely. Most Dominatrix`s are not seen as prostitutes anyway as there is no actual sex with there clients..
Overall... its a pretty grey area
