I WANT to notice, no wetting is better than getting a really full bladder and soaking a cloth nappy in 1 hot rush, a real treat for the senses. The cloth nappy gives me total confidence, in bed I wake needing to go, go back to sleep, wake again and no matter what position i'm laying in I piiiiiiiiissssssssss myself. Mmmmm much more sensual than straining to produce a little trickle that gets lost, un-felt in the layers.
A dry cloth nappy can handle anything without leaking and I love the way the hot wee softens the thick padding and spreads right around. Cloth lets wetness slowly spread throughout the whole nappy so when the 2nd wetting happens (I always wet more than once) the cloth is primed and soaks up the wee even quicker. If I'm going to wet a nappy I WET it well.
