Without being too crude on detail, I have the worst periods ever and cannot even wear tampons. So as far a peeing goes, there is no real problem there. Accept however, I have an even weaker bladder during my period and I'm always rushing off to the toilet. Therefore, during my heavy periods I have a great excuse to wear a disposable nappy/diaper and plastic pants for bedtime. I find disposables are the most comfortable and the best to wear for protection at night whilst menstruating. If I happen to be alone, I even pop in my dummy and doze off to sleep.
