I went to the doctor a few years back wearing a Tena. I was dry when I was waiting for the nurse to call me for my appointment... but wet myself before I was called. The frustrating thing for me was that I was asked to give a urine sample... I had to explain to her that I couldn't. Nothing is never that easy it appears... she wanted to know about my "condition".
Suggestion: It helps to have a believable excuse (that you can naturally and comfortably explain) should you be asked -- remember that the doctor has probably seen/heard it all before.
Personally I always use the "urge incontinence" excuse -- explaining that I've had this problem since childhood and that I am finally comfortable with being able to live with it .
Of course I'm comfortable! I'm wearing a wet nappy, I suck a pacifier and cuddle my teddy bear. Don't go saying *that* to the doc! *grin*
