Is that an englih dictionary, or an American one - anyway Americanization [sic] of the english language has meant over the years many 'US origin' words have become a part of the culture.
Diaper does actually come from diaper-weave in terms of being well, a diaper - I'm not making it up, I just don't have the sources to hand to quote them, but at thew end of the day it doesn't really matter - I personally think of nappies as being predominatly cloth and diapers as disposable. I also use the term 'Diaper Lover' (DL) to refer to myself anyway.
I'm also not prepared to fall out with someone who's got half a brain and can construct a reasonable sentence and articulate themselves clearly - and your website shows you can certainly do that!
