I don't buy disposables very often, but one time, I was buying some overnight diapers at an all night Walmart. There was an older guy, about my age or older, behind me in the line. I put the diapers on the counter and paid for them. As I started to leave, the guy who was behind me put his purchases on the counter. He was buying diapers too. He caught uo with me before I got very far and said, "you should probably take one of your diapers to the bathroom and change, you've had a couple of leaks. Then he went back to the checkout counter. I felt it as I went outside. I had a fist sized wet spot on the back of each of my legs where my diaper had leaked and wet my jeans.
