I can get to sleep just fine without, but lately I prefer to go to bed wearing nothing but vinyl panties. Sometimes because I also have a fetish for white cotton panties, I'll also take turns wearing them to bed with vinyl panties over them or vinyl panties with white cotton panties over the vinyl ones.
