Your boyfriend may be so serious about them because he is deeply ashamed of himself for having to wear diapers. I would suggest starting off by just trying to express to him that you don't think there is anything wrong with diapers ... on him, on you, or on anyone.
The bad news is that you can't force him to want to share wearing diapers with you. The good news is that as long as you don't push the issue, and your relationship is healthy in other ways, you should eventually build up the foundation of trust and respect with each other that you're both comfortable sharing with each other.
