Bob...I can understand the mentality that by criticising other people it makes one look better, but that's no practical way to make this board a better place.
It's a MESSAGE BOARD just like every other message board in the world. Message boards bring out a certain style of posting, a certain extremity of views that reflects the pent-up frustrations of things we can't say in normal life. People on this board are no different to people on any other board about any other topic - from politics to sport to religion to computing! You get arguments, you get bitching, you get shouting...it's FUN!
By adopting a holier-than-thou approach you're clearly trying to set yourself up as a shoulder to cry on for poor Sarah, which is fair enough as a typically devious male ploy I suppose. But don't pretend you're some kind of saint whereas the rest of us are all sinners; we're all exactly the same!
Sarah...like all message boards this one involves some extreme comments, some thoughtless comments, some persistent troublemakers and some good advice, and many many guys who are looking for a girlfriend with similar interests. Unlike Misanthropic Bob (great name btw), I won't put my email address on the bottom because I'm not trying to get you to write to me;-) Therefore what I say is from the heart without asking for a response.
Enjoy the attention! The fact that you've aroused the interest of lots of men here shows that there is a demand for AB girls, if your boyfriend or ex boyfriend doesn't get it, then there ARE men who do.
Personally I think this might well be the place to meet the man of your dreams, as long as you're tough as old boots, don't put up with any crap and express yourself in a way that will attract the kind of guy you're looking for. For example, I don't like soppy, simpering girls, I only like women who can give as good as they get, girls with a bit of toughness who are prepared to shout back at me if need be. Therefore I have no hesitation in aiming my posts at the small minority of girls who are on that same wavelength.
So think about what exactly kinda guy (friend, lover or otherwise) you're looking for, then write some posts that will convey that message. Simply coming on a board like this and saying "Oh my boyfriend left me, what can I do?" is an understandable reaction, but rationally speaking it's just ASKING for loads of guys to drool around you.
On this board we're not all freaks, or immoral subhuman scum, we're just typical normal MEN (that includes you MBob)! The only difference between us and anyone else is that we have specific sexual desires which we have chosen to explore a bit deeper.
