The time elapse I believe is 10-15 seconds from when you click the button then get in position. Mine beeps before the photo is shot so you know how much time you have left cause it starts beeping really fast before it takes the shot. The problem with my camera is that it doesn't capture motion very well, the slightest movement causes blurring so you have to be still and stay in position long enough for the photo to be taken. It sucks. Lots of times I gotta take the picture again and again and again for it to be right and thats the reason I don't do many anymore, its just too frustrating.
