I've never had a problem with people disagreeing lol.

The term, "Jew", orginally came about more than 600 years after Mosaic Law was instituted. Mosaic Law was instituted around 1480 BC. The Kingdom of Israel split around 935 BC. The Southern-most tribes were the righteous (it's always that way....lol!). They were comprised of Benjamin, Judah, and Simeon who was within Judah. The Southern Kingdom followed God's annointed King (Reheboam at the beginning), and became known as "Judah", after the strongest tribe, until they went into Babylonian Captivity aroound 605 BC. The Northern Tribes followed Jereboam ("who caused Israel to sin") and continued to be known as Israel until they went into Assyrian Captivity in 722 BC.

About 100 years after the split, "Jew" began to be used as a term. It was originally a racial slur against those of the Southern Kingdom of Judah ... "JEW - da".

You are correct though in that by saying "Hebrew", I would be incorrectly including Arabs - descendants of Abraham by Ishmael.

Another fun slur used in those times.... "He who pisseth against the wall". It's really in the King James Translation of the Bible...lol. Imagine how weird that was for us in 8th grade while reading the Bible aloud in class.....
