A lot of incontinent people have serious amounts of anger resulting from their condition that may or may not be well suppressed. If you've ever read any of the incontinence boards you'll find that nothing sets off some of those people more than the thought of someone _wanting_ to wear diapers.
My suspicion is that it's not a bad thing that you broke up.
