seems to have been the majority reaction when gays decided they wanted to get married!
Me: Marriage is a religious act. Get the state out of the religion of marriage, with all the tax breaks and such. I don't mind the state in the business of civil unions, but I don't see why a *church* has to be dragged into it as far as the state is concerned.
Not that I mind anyone going to church and getting married...but that should be a private affair. I shouldn't have to go to a church to get a civil union. (I'm hetero, but not a practicing churchgoer)
