One of my plans now that I gots some time to explore my own projects is to pick up a guitar and maybe start up another band at some point. The only problem now is I can't play guitar. LOL! I'm an experienced pianist and played keyboard in the last band. So anyhoo; being self centered I didn't get to knowledgeable any aspect of the band other than my own small part. I'm looking for something of quality, but probably about in the mid price range, cause I dont want to learn on a pile of shit, but I dont want to blow a wad of dough on something I have no clue how to use yet. So if guys could share some of your knowledge with me that would be great. :)
By the way I want a heavy sound like crunchy and forboding. Kind a like Our Lady Peace. (So far the best band I've seen live in my whole life) They literally made my nipples stand on end and my teeth rattle in my skull. Can I do that with any guitar? Maybe it was Raine Maida that made my nipples stand on end, but anyway you get the picture.
PPS Larry I'm scoring tickets to Tragically Hip this November! I can't fucking wait.
