I liked Core the best out of any STP album, but I do admit it sounds fairly generic in parts. You can definately tell when they are mimicking Pearl Jam (Wicked Garden) or Soundgarden (Sex Type Thing) or Alice in Chains (Dead and Bloated among others) whereas in later releases they sounded more like their own band. And damnit, can't Scott Weilend stay out of jail for two freakin months?!
