It is illegal because it was based on lies and bullshit. They even had Colin Powell go up in front of the UN, lie and destroy his reputation to make this war happen.
The US media is tightly controlled by the government since 9/11. You cannot trust one word from them anymore. If you insist on getting your information from the news, then use international sources such as Reuters, BBC. They will give you less biased opinions and stories about what is really going on.
Another source would be to talk to the troops who have gotten back from Iraq. They will tell you themselves how bullshit the war is.
If you say the US is there to fight Al Qaida or the insurgency, don't forget the US created them.
