I also know how to use a sewing machine and make adult diapers using 21x40 gauze weave diapers or Gerber 36x20 diapers. I get my 21x40 diapers from Granitesmith Diapers on eBay as they are an exact copy of the ones once made by Curity.
I have developed a pattern where I can put 4 of these diapers together and make the size needed to fit me perfectly. The main flat layer is around 24x40 by the time I get done sewing them together and it looks likes an adult prefold on the outside. I also put another four together and sew around the edges to make the diaper thicker. A few Gerber prefolds in the middle for added absorbtion and I have a diaper which is nice and thick and absorbs very well. The best thing is that this is all done in layers so they dry very fast in the dryer.
