To all appearances, it IS a war for oil -- but not for YOUR oil or MY oil. No, it is a war for those making 50 to 70 cents per gallon of gasoline more than they were, because Iraq is no longer putting it's oil in the market. It is a war over who will control Iraq's oil, as it has more oil than almost anyplace else in the world. In the mean time, GWB's friends, mostly in the oil business, are making a killing.
Notice how we used to have proposals that 50 cents or more per gallon of gas be used as a tax?? Now we pay the 50 cents, but not to the government, instead to private oil companies, by and large friends of GW Bush.
