Sceintists never claimed another Ice Age was Immediate. What you are talking about was when they discovered Earth's climate is cyclical. Meaning it gets warmer and hotter over periods. Many people (uneducated and ignorant) Thought scientists were trying to say an Ice Age is coming. When all they were doing is explaining their findings of a cyclical climate pattern.

There really was an energy crisis in the late 70's brought on by the lack of technology to drill for oil in remote or hard to reach places. We developed the technology to drill in more remote regions, and used energy saving appliances, and made cars more fuel efficient to solve the crisis.

-Chunks of the polar ice caps the size of US states are breaking off. This provides proof of the serious changes to the environment. Since the Ice Caps receeded to their current position when the earth was at its warmest temperature. The fact that they are dimishing proves we are changing the climate of the earth.
-The oceans are becoming diluted.
-More hurricanes are occuring each year.
-Drought now happens, to more regions of the earth than ever before.
-Smog alerts are more frequent and more severe.
There's just a few documented, and factual peices of evidence.
People who want to walk around claiming there's no problem with climate change should have to register their names with the government to ensure they recieve no help when hurricanes wreck their houses and when droughts destroy their crops. If you don't want to help, then you should recieve no help in return.
