Found this little gem on the net.
1500 scientists signed a petition in 1997 concerning global warming, right? That's a lot, isn't it? Sounds like the general consensus of the scientific community.
19,000 scientists signed a petition a year later oppossing Kytoto and stating: "The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind. There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate…."
PLease take special note of the last sentence. 19,000 versus 1500. Hmmm.
