The DPF roster has been around since the 1980's.
A real matchmaking service does the matching for you. It isn't the self-serve, find-your-own-mate, fast-food, skim-my-profile, jerk off to my picture, low-nutrient roster diets to which diaper folk have become accustomed. Rather, real matchmaking services require constant participation -- they screen participants face-to-face, they run tests on personality and intellect and education and interests, they analyze compatibility scores, and many of them even bring people together in-person for social events, cocktail parties, and mixers. Wow, whatta concept!
Oh, and these matchmakers also charge big fees for their services -- that keeps the participants honest and keeps them coming back. Ya gets whats ya pays fa.
So is this new "Diaper Match" site going to do all of that, or is it simply a revival of many diaper rosters we've seen in the past -- maybe with its own insignificant twist or two?
Look, I'm all for creating new diaper rosters, but we're not going to come close to real matchmaking unless we're willing to be:
A) Honest -- about who we are, what we really want, what we really don't want, and honest towards others
B) Discerning -- actually *choose* people based on quality, not jump at any diapered thing that moves, or any Mommy that says, "legs up!"
C) Open - and eager to come out from behind our screen names to meet face-to-face with confidence.
Its early yet, but I don't see those things in this new website. I only see a regurgitation of the old.
And that wraps up another ostentatious, pedantic, self-righteous post from the cynical, curmudgeon Daddy-Divinity DR. Feel free to tell me what an ass I am because I simply think diaper folk deserve something better.
