I'll bet there's a true coder here who can help you with this far more than I can AND it sucks that anyone should have to go through this much work for what's esential an act of selflesness.

For what it's worth though, this might do the trick cause I had a friend that did it for different reasons with a similar effect.

first layer of protection- convert the text to an image file. This makes it far less simple to cut and paste, furthermore if you can add a watermark or throw in a copywrite. There's a couple ways to do this, the cheapest is CTRL+PRINTSCREEN, this takes the image on your monitor and copys it to the clipboard, then you can go into MSpaint or any image editing software and paste it into a new document. I believe also that a lot of webpage editing software can do this for you with the click of a button. The only downside to this, is that people can still just save the image file and post it on their website, though watermarks and copywrites will at least tell users that it's yours.

Second layer of Protection- Again, way more work than should be necesary, not that it's hard, but one shouldn't have to do all this. Embeded flash/java; if you take the text; put it into flash , output it as a flash animation, and then put it on your page it is damn near impossible to pull it out, or even link to it from a different site.

Once you've got the hang of it, this is far less dificult and time consuming as it sounds. And if you don't have the software or even time to do this, I'll bet you've probably got a friend in the communityh that does.

I hope some of that was usefull, best of luck to ya,

Brian
