That was a good post Brian. I especially agree with this comment:

I think most kinky folks believe that a modest *initial consent* is the sine qua non of all power exchange. For *my* relationships, that was always true, and still is. However, I can imagine situations where initial consent is not necessary, yet the captivity is still perfectly ethical IMO. Consent, in any of its forms, is not measured in absolutes.
