My bed wetting attire was simply nappies untill I was about 7 or 8 years old after that I was made to sleep in several pairs of underpants with a towel under my sheet to soak up the pee.
Later on I had a thick and very noisy plastic sheet on the bed. Nowadays I use a terry towelling waterproof protector and still sleep in several pairs of underpants
