Mary, it seems we are a lot alike. I am seldom dry for more than a week, sometimes two.
Although I did not wet as a child, and in fact started only a few years ago, I too like the warmth of having things happen in bed. I guess, some nights, I just get lazy.
You will find a wide age group here, but we are similar age. I have not found a nappy that will hold my pee all night... so I stopped wearing them. We just protect the mattress well, and it seems to work. Just makes for more (as in too much more) laundry.
