I had multiple sisters in night nappies although it was only the elder one who was “put back”. The other simply never got OUT of night nappies until a relatively late age.
My younger brothers and sisters seemed completely unbothered in their night nappies (apart from the bouts of teasing dished out by older siblings). The fact that they would often deliberately pee in their nappies once on suggests that they quite liked being wet.
Typically, their mother would pull up flannel pajama pants over them once they were put on but the nappies were quite thick and the flannel pants rustled against the plastic pants covering them causing them to “swish” as they walked. It was fairly obvious they were in nappies.
