Not a "killjoy" Just realistic. I love the wettings in full and leaky diapers and my pants in a hotel room but I also bring and use protection for the mattress. I also noted that quite a few mattresses already have stains that shout a bedwetter was here. Stains only noticable if one removes the sheets to place a protector under, which I still use even on already stained beds. I rarely see a protected or covered mattress.
