How do you let them find out? Here's my story--- all very much true.
I've been wetting the bed for many years, so by now quite a few family, friends and colleagues have found out. Although I love the embarrassment of being 'outed' as a bedwetter, there are times I realize that more people might know about it than I realized or intended. I actually wet on purpose than by accident. Sometimes I wish that I was a 'real' bedwetter, but it turns out to be good to be able to have some say as to who finds out. On the otherhand, if someone discovers my 'secret', the humiliation is the same. No one knows that I wet on purpose, so when someone finds out I still have 'accidents' , they are just as embarrassed for me.

How do they find out? Twenty years ago, while living at home before going off to gradschool, I just started wetting the bed( on purpose) after some minor surgery. I asked my mother to keep it between us. After she seemed shocked by several 'accidents', she put plastic sheets on the mattress.( My younger brother was a bedwetter till 14, but I never was.) To make a long story short, I eventually wore plastic pants over a towel stuffed in my undies; I actually think my mother enjoyed coming in each morning to see if had laundry--- code for " Did you have an accident?". If I said yes, she would always wait for me to pull back the sheets and take off the plastic pants and wet 'diaper' in front of her. This went on for 10 years ---everytime I visited. I stopped doing this after when I visited with several friends and told her that the 'problem' was over. Not sure she believed me. She stopped putting on the plastic sheet except for 1 trip about 5 years ago when, due to a crowded holiday house, I offered to sleep on the living room couch. When I went to sleep. I realized that she had discretely made the bed up with a plastic sheet. It was exciting and embarrassing, but I didn't wet or talk about it with her. I still wonder who might have seen her make up the couch. Sometimes I'm tempted to start wetting again. Maybe.

What about friends and colleagues? Yes, some of them know as well. While on travel one time, a colleague and friend, who was feeding my cat, called and asked if she could stay at my house because her AC went out. I couldn't say no but relized that I would be discovered because of the plastic sheet on my bed and all the stains on the mattress that she would see when she changed the sheets. She never said anything, but 6 months later I realized my secret was definitely discovered when I stayed over at her family's beach house. When I arrived, my bed was already made with a plastic sheet. It was so exciting that I couldn't stop myself from wetting the bed that night. That's one time that I kind of regret. Her whole family knows that I wet the bed, plus another woman from work who was there. They could tell that I was so embarrassed that we didn't discuss it much. It's exciting to think about it, but I also wonder how many people at work know about my 'problem'.

I've never considered completely outing myself as a bedwetter. Have you done this? What responses do you get?
