I too have childhood memories of sleeping on a rubber sheet. And over the years I’ve purchased many, but have never seen one with channels. Wonder, could your mom have used some type of rubber mat on your bed. I remember seeing rubber mats with ridges years ago. But they were quite heavy, you wouldn’t refer to them as a sheet. Hopefully someone will have an answer.
You indicate your mom would wipe down your rubber sheet in the morning and allow your bed to air dry. Question, how often did she change your sheets? Didn’t they develop quite an aroma between changing’s?
