Absolutely. I wet the bed chronically until I was about 14, then only sporadically (maybe 3-4 times a month) throughout high school. Even less in college. My mother, however, left the rubber sheet on my bed (just in case !) and it is still there when i visit to this day (I am in my early 30's). While I only wet the bed very infrequently now (1 or 2 times in a month), I almost always wet the bed at least once during a weekend visit home. I think subconsiously the smell and feeling of the old rubber sheet give me an involuntary sense of security that causes it to happen.
