I have just discpvered this site and replied to Laura on another board. Perhaps my experiences would make me more suitable to post on this board. I have only very rare wetting experiences during the day.
Nighttime is a different story and has been my lifetime (I am now 54). Never been dry at night for more than a month at a time. Cannot describe myself as a deliberate wetter, but one who wets out of laziness and, at this stage, I do feel properly dressed going to bed unless I have my plastic knickers on (bought in Boots) with an old thick cotton towel in them and also my daytime panties.
Growing up in Dublin in the 1950s it was common knowledge among mothers and children who pissed in bed at night. Mothers talked and clothes lines told their own stories. In the days before tumble dryers etc., it was unusual to see a sheet and pyjamas and panties out every morning.
I went to a convent boarding school run by nuns when I was 12 and stayed till I was 18. Among the younger pupils (we slept in large dormitories) there were about 5/6 regular bedwetters who were issued with red rubber sheeets to put under their ordinary sheets. I was unusual to still be wetting my bed at 18, but I was not teased. You see, many other girls, especially the younger ones had occasional accidents and the result was a sheet with a large circular yellow stain on it till changed on Saturday. (In my case I had to keep my wet stained and smelly sheet till Saturday also!)
I mentioned laziness. Put simply I far preferred to turn over and cuddle down when I awoke and wanted to wee. Result usually was, and is, wet panties and, if a leak, a stained sheet. If the plastic sheet I use now has shifted about ( it is really not big enough) I have a wet mattress. Actually it is now about 10 years old and the centre of it is brown from repeated wettings.
I would like to hear from any other woman in Ireland with similar experiences and how they cope. If a man wants to write that is fine. I will reply to all.
LOL
