I started wetting my bed on purpose in my early teens and just let my parents think I couldn't help it. I even went to the doctor about it once to keep up the pretence that I had no control over my bed wetting. Back in those days the doctors weren't very helpful and told my parents I had a weak bladder but would probably stop wetting eventually. They put a plastic sheet on my bed and more or less left me to it. It was up to me to change my bed and wash my wet sheets and pants as I got older. If I didn't change my bed. I would have to sleep in it the following night. I supose it was esier for me as I had always wet the bed as a child so when I started wetting on purpose they had no idea.
