Have you always wet your bed?
No. I distinctly remember last wetting my bed when I was around 4 years old and I didn’t like it at all. I contrast, my younger siblings all wet the bed right through until they were at least 6 or 7 years old.
Do you wet on purpose ?
Yes. It’s purely a recreational thing. I think I’ve wet the bed or my night nappies once or twice when half-dozing but when not planning on wetting or not wearing nappies, I’m 100% dry at night :- )
If you wet on purpose what got you started.
I was a DL since childhood although I didn’t understand what that was until much later. With my courageous partner, we’d explored watersports and nappies. The bedwetting was something that arose from an overnight nappy-wearing session. We were both in nappies and for some reason (came unpinned or something), her nappy leaked badly and she effectively wet her pajamas and bed. We had a laugh in the morning but I found it sexy. Before long, we’d planned to try deliberately wetting the bed together and now it’s a permanent part of our repertoire.
How often do you wet your bed?
For a full, mutual bed-wetting, not that often: maybe once a month or so when we need to wash the underblanket anyway. Nappy wearing to bed is more frequent – once or twice a week is nice but it’s probably more like a couple of times per month.
Do you protect your mattress?
Yes. The mattress has a waterproof cover (to control dust mites to which I am allergic). As nobody likes to sleep on plastic, there is a conventional-but-washable mattress protector on top of the plastic. For dust mite control, this needs to be washed regularly anyway :- )
What do you wear to bed when wetting?
If it’s just me, a terry nappy pinned under plastic pants so at least one of us and the bed stays dry. The terry nappy gives me all the sensations of a wet bed but in a localized and warm location and I'm a DL anyway! If we are both going to wet the bed, we won’t wear nappies but will usually wear full length, flannel pajamas under a “pee duvet”. Occasionally, we will both just wear terry nappies to bed.
