Terry towelling covered waterproof sheets are brilliant, if a little expensive. I got one recently when I replaced my bed. The feeling is very similar to peeing an unprotected bed especially if you wear pants to bed as I do.
They can cope with two major wettings before becoming soaked which means I can wet before going to sleep which I like to do and again either in my sleep or if I wake during the night.
