In the little experience that I've had role-playing with other daddies as their lg I have found that what Paul is saying is absolutely correct. At least it is for me personally. First of all it's so difficult finding that balance between fantasy and reality. Also, I have found that sometimes "daddy" wants to play when I really just want to be grown-up and vise-versa. I have also experienced feelings of resentment when a boyfriend of mine becomes too overbearing or controlling, and yet at other times I crave it. If you're not careful the entire relationship could turn into a role-playing fantasy and that, for most people, is not a fulfilling relationship.
This is something that I have struggled with. I think that I have expected too much out of the men in my life. Like Paul was saying, at times I want them to be powerful and controlling, and other times I just want someone who will bake cookies with me and read me stories. But then I also want somebody who is capable of leading a normal happy life without role-playing being the center of it. Basically I want the best of both worlds, I want the perfect man.
