I agree that girls are getting less feminine these days, but I don't think that means they have to stop wearing clothes similar to men's.
It's all very psychological, IMO. They speak of feminism and "girl power" but most girls are just trying to be like men! I'm a girl and I want to be pampered by my boyfriend. I want him to offer to pay for dinner and follow very strictly "ladies first". I liked wearing skirts to school because skirts are pretty and practical and, simply put: MEN CAN'T WEAR THEM.
Equality should mostly be in a legal sense. Otherwise it'll just be losing our identity as females, I suppose.
