Have you been going out to realtime munches or demos? Generally people who are socially competent enough to gather with others in the real world are much less closed-minded, even if they aren't into the same things you are. Although I would say it's definitely true that d/lg involving *gasp* actual ageplay is thought of as weird or even extreme in some of the circles I run in.
Are you interested in other aspects of bdsm or do you consider yourself to be specifically LG and not into other kinks? If you aren't into other pervy things, you may have a hard time fitting in. That's the problem with being a subset of a subset of a subset (no pun intended). Good luck!
