No, no, I wasn't saying that it was only women who separate the two, just that in my experiences, the ones that do, are women. I agree with you totally, as I am a woman who sexualizes the fetish myself. I was just surmising that, again in my experiences, men seem to be into the sexual aspect more than the women. I don't have any polls or numbers to share, it's just what I've gathered from reading and talking with others.
Specifically, the women on the message boards had f*cked up childhoods, so for them it was a way to relive that time, and at that time sex wasn't part of the equation.
