Of course, if you two are in a relationship that you both view as exclusive (as opposed to an open relationship) you need to really talk this out. Just because you're far apart doesn't mean you can just be intimate with others. Unless of course it's agreed that such actions are okay.
I was in a long distance relationship until a few weeks ago and I understand the difficulty in it. But what it took was a lot of communication. Making sure things are okay.
