A man walks into a bar, and finds the owner behind the counter. He looks around, then turns to the owner and says, "If this was my bar, I would never have decorated it like this, in fact, there is absolutely no way that I would have EVER chosen that crappy color of leather for the booths or this kind of lame wood for the bar". As the owner throws him out, the man cries out, "But I was just making clear what MY preferences are, and if you can't take them as anything but a statement of hatred, then you going to loose a lot of customers!".
The same man walks into an art gallery, looks around, then walks up to the artist showing his work and says, "If these were my paintings, I would have NEVER used that kind of crappy paint, or went with that crappy style, or ever showed my work in this kind of gallery". As the artist throws him out he cries again, "But I was just making clear what MY preferences are, and if you can't take them as anything but a statement of hatred, then you going to loose a lot of art collectors!".
Finally the same man, having not learned a thing, walks into convention for Daddy's and their little girls, watches the couples interact then proceeds to take a microphone in front of the crowd and says, "If I were in your relationships, I would never act like such a crappy Daddy, or allow my little girl to do such crappy things, or even come to this convention!". As they throw him out he cries, "But I was just making clear what MY preferences are, and if you can't take them as anything but a statement of hatred, then you going to loose a lot of attendees at your convention!".
But the reality was that the bar was a better place without that customer, the artist found plenty of art collectors that appreciated his work and the convention was just fine without that particular attendee.
If those examples don't make it clear how you've managed to come off on here, then probably nothing will. However, if they have at all, then you may want to apologize to Kitty, as you clearly hurt her feelings.
