Yes, well put, and I apologize. L.E.'s thoughts are on target and are better than mine. Anon's post is lengthy and detailed, and I wanted to reply similarly, but not everyone here is who they say they are, and I did not want to spend time replying thoughtfully to someone's invented fantasy.

In looking over Anon's post, I see something in particular that I didn't notice before. Here it is: "I had molded myself into this perfect girl for everybody to admire and adore." In my own family an intelligent and attractive young woman did exactly this. She worked hard to be the perfect girl-friend, the perfect wife, the perfect daughter-in-law. The result was abuse, humiliation, and personal destruction. For the last several years she's been a "recovering perfectionist". An interesting thing has happened. As she has tried less to be perfect, and has more easily accepted being imperfect and human (but happily so), the nicer and more decent have been the guys approaching her. Possible moral: trying to be perfect draws the advantage takers out of the woodwork.

Thank you, Katrinka, for calling me on my post, I had it coming. I don't think Anon's post is a fantasy.
