The same can be said of men in any sexual lifestyle: straight vanilla, gay, bisexual, BDSM, fetishes, etc. Fact is, many, *MANY* men lose interest in their sexual partners -- temporarily or sometimes permanently. Its one reason why so many men "cheat." But I think the underlying, root cause has more to do with archaic notions of monogamy than anything else. For many people (men and women alike) monogamy is simply unnatural, in spite of how society, and organized religion, otherwise perceives it. And while many "cheating" men might regard their (wives, girlfriends, submissives, slaves, AB girls, you choose the applicable titles) as the the filet mignon of women -- the creme de la creme -- so to speak, many of those same men can't live on steak alone. Sometimes he wants a cheese sandwich. For many, variety *IS* the spice of life, no matter how great his woman is.
I won't dive into the tangent about asexual AB girls -- some who may have been raped, etc -- save to say that these generalizations aren't supportable. While there are many AB women who don't want traditional sex, its reasonable to assume there are just as many if not more who enjoy traditional sex as much as their AB play. That has certainly been my experience. Same can be said of women who have been raped -- many subsequently abhor sex, while many others continue to enjoy traditional sex, while yet many, *MANY* other women who have been raped later come to enjoy "rape play" for various reasons. Extremely common.
Moreover, not all DL Daddies enjoy mixing traditional sex with the AB play -- as is tacitly expressed in your post. A "precarious lot?" I don't think so. DL Daddies are about as grounded (or ungrounded) as any other sexual subculture. I often see these types of threads -- overintellectualized attempts to explain how and why ABDL's differ from others. Collectively, we don't. Those of us ABDL's who also tramp around the swing and BDSM scenes see the same patterns across them all.
